Abstract(s)
A orientação
The concepts of entrepreneurial orientation, dynamic capabilities and organisational performance have an extensive literature given their relevance to companies, as they are determinants of their competitiveness. Entrepreneurial orientation and dynamic capabilities play a leveraging role in terms of company results, while organisational performance functions as a control and planning variable. Several authors point to the existence of a deep relationship between the concepts. However, the results are often inconsistent. In order to assess these inconsistencies, we therefore set out to analyse the relationship between them in a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and effectively understand which variables most influence its performance. Using a qualitative methodology, a single case study was carried out in order to fulfil this objective. An interview was used as the data collection technique. This study allowed us to establish links between the constructs of entrepreneurial orientation, dynamic capabilities and organisational performance and, at the same time, to answer the research propositions. The results obtained show a positive relationship between the aforementioned concepts, highlight the importance of entrepreneurial orientation in achieving competitive advantages and how dynamic capabilities strengthen the sustained growth of companies.
