Esta investigação centra-se na integração da gestualidade e de ambientes
generativos em performances imersivas, utilizando uma abordagem interdisciplinar
assente na prática artística. Tem como objetivos específicos produzir uma narrativa e
performance enquadrada como uma prática contemplativa, onde se reflete sobre
‘tolerância’, apoiando-se em diferentes estruturas rituais. O resultado é uma linguagem
estética visual, sonora e gestual própria, e avalia a eficiência da narrativa ao auscultar a
experiência dos participantes. Explora a interconexão entre arte multimédia e ritual
secular, e novas vias de expressão artística através de elementos interativos e
audiovisuais. O envasamento teórico é rizomático e abrange as áreas de performance,
ritual e semiótica, bem como conceitos de imersão, interatividade, cocriação e sistemas
generativos. O estudo foi ainda apoiado pela análise de obras que demonstram a
integração de tecnologias e de conceitos correlacionados com o tema em foco em todas
as suas dimensões. O objeto artístico resultante incorpora visuais generativos
produzidos em tempo real, dois interfaces interativos, um sistema de notação para Live
Visuals e a manipulação de paisagens sonoras.
This research project focuses on the integration of gesturality and generative environments in the context of immersive performances. It employs an interdisciplinary approach based on practice as research, the project's specific objectives are to create a narrative and performance that was structured to be contemplative practice, with the intention of facilitating reflection on the concept of ‘tolerance’ using diverse ritual structures. The result is a visual, auditory and gestural aesthetic language of its own, which is evaluated in terms of its effectiveness in conveying the narrative by listening to the experiences of the participants. The research examines the interconnection between multimedia art and secular ritual, and it explores new avenues of artistic expression using interactive and audiovisual elements. The theoretical framework is rhizomatic and encompasses the areas of performance, ritual, and semiotics, as well as the concepts of immersion, interactivity, co-creation, and generative systems. This review was also supported by the analysis of artworks that demonstrate the integration of technologies and concepts correlated with the theme in focus in its various dimensions. The resulting artistic object incorporates generative visuals produced in real time, two interactive interfaces, a notation system for Live Visuals and the creation of a soundscape.
