| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho pretende abordar a importância e benefícios das tecnologias no âmbito de atividades mineiras a céu aberto. No desenvolvimento deste documento foram identificados casos reais de aplicações de tecnologias de informação e automatismos em equipamentos mineiros, e a seus pontos fortes e fraquezas, permitindo desenvolver uma estrutura para avaliar o retorno do investimento com a implementação de novas tecnologias. O principal contributo deste estudo é apresentar um modelo que permite calcular o retorno sobre o investimento (ROI) após a implementação de uma tecnologia, com o objetivo de auxiliar uma tomada de decisão, permitindo um maior controle orçamental, aumentando a confiança dos gerentes e dos investidores em novas tecnologias. Esta pesquisa permitiu expor uma contribuição com dados reais, identificando os fatores chave na avaliação e os seus benefícios, mensuráveis e não mensuráveis decorrentes do investimento de um software de gestão de equipamentos, utilizando os registos da empresa da empresa SGSV – Silvério Guilherme Santos Valente, Lda. Com os resultados obtidos no modelo de cálculo, para o caso real da frota de equipamentos da SGSV, permitiu concluir que uma boa gestão de manutenção permite melhorar a operabilidade dos equipamentos. | dc.description.abstract | This work intends to discuss the importance and benefits of the technologies in open pit mining activities. In the development of this document were identified real cases of applications of information technologies and automation in mining equipment, and their strengths and weaknesses, allowing develop a structure to evaluating the return on investment with the implementation of new technologies. The main contribution of this study is to provide a model that allows the calculation of the return on investment (ROI) after the implementation of a technology, with the objective of assisting decision making, allowing greater budgetary control, increasing the confidence of managers and investors in new technologies. This research allowed to expose a contribution with real data, identifying the key factors in the evaluation and its benefits, measurable and non measurable resulting from the investment in management software, using the database of the company SGSV - Silvério Guilherme Santos Valente, Lda . With the results obtained in the calculation model, for the real case of the equipment fleet of the SGSV, allowed to conclude that a good management of maintenance allows an improving of the equipment operability.
