| dc.description.abstract | In drinking water distribution systems the surfaces of taps are in contact with non-sterile water, which can lead to biofilm development. Biofilms can harbor opportunistic pathogens, representing a potential risk factor of water-related diseases, especially to sensitive human subgroups such as children.
