Abstract(s)
A universidade representa uma instituição na qual a investigação e o conhecimento ocupam o papel principal e a razão do seu existir. Porém, a universidade não se dissocia da relação espacial, temporal e social que ocupa na trama de uma cidade. No seu conjunto, pode constituir matéria de análise e referente para tratamento imagético. O esbatimento de fronteiras físicas entre a Universidade do Porto e a cidade são o reflexo da relação dinâmica que a passagem do tempo fortaleceu entre ambas.
O presente projecto “A Universidade e a Cidade - Identidade e Coabitação” pretende exaltar, a partir do registo fotográfico, uma identidade partilhada, celebrando assim os cem anos da história da Universidade do Porto.
The university is an institution in which research and knowledge to take the lead role and reason of their existence. However, the university can also be analyzed from the perspective of imagery, the time and spatial relationship and that it occupies in the social fabric of a city. The lack of physical boundaries between the University of Porto and the city are a reflection of the dynamic and narrow relationship than the passage of times trengthened between them. This project "The University and the City - Identity and Cohabitation" is intended to exalt, from the photographic record, a shared identity, to celebrate the hundred years of history of the University of Porto.
