Abstract(s)
The present report describes the work performed regarding the curricular unit “Supervised Practice of Teaching” (SPT), which is part of the curricular path of the Master in “1st Cycle of Studies of Basic Education and 2nd Cycle of Studies of Basic Education of Mathematics and Natural Sciences”. The curricular path of the master student and her plan of action, reflexions and evolution are reported. Moreover, several theoretical and legal arguments that support the plan of action are discussed. During the practice of teaching, the use of investigation-action methodology allows the development of the work planed. Thus, the four steps of this methodology were considered: observation, planification, action and reflexion. Moreover, the investigative component was explored in order to study the influence of the use of formulas for calculation of geometric areas to understand this concept. During the SPT, she performed activities in two cycles of studies which allowed the development of the ability to adapt herself to different scenarios, also fine-tuning her performance according to the different levels of work required for each students’ class. After the elaboration of this report, she finishes the first step in her formation as a teacher. However, this represents only the first milestone of an expected long teaching route that the master student hopes to experience. For this new step of her life, she wants to follow the idea that a teacher should be in constant changing and adaptation and thus justifying the title of the present report “The changing lives in our voice”.
