Abstract(s)
Este ensaio fotográfico engloba um conjunto de lojas da Rua de Cedofeita na cidade do Porto e as suas transformações no sector do comércio tradicional. Pretende-se com este projecto, trazer à memória do público estas lojas tradicionais, através do seu produto específico que dentro ou fora do seu contexto, ganha aqui uma nova visão. O objeto tradicional é valorizado através imagens expostas em montras de lojas, – com grandes dimensões –, que são registadas fotograficamente numa última fase do projecto.
“Memórias de Cedofeita”, atraiu o público à Rua de Cedofeita e contribuiu para a formação da ACECE – Associação dos Comerciantes e Empresários de Cedofeita –, o que, por sua vez, colaborou para a revitalização da Rua e do seu comércio tradicional.
This photographic essay includes several stores of Cedofeita Street in the city of Porto and its transformations in the sector of traditional commerce. The intention of this project is to bring the public mind these traditional stores through its product, which in or out of context gains a new vision. The traditional object is enhanced by images exhibited in storefronts – with large dimensions – that are recorded photographically in a final phase of the project. "Memoirs of Cedofeita" attracted audiences to Cedofeita Street and contributed to the formation of ACECE - Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Cedofeita –, which contributed to the revitalization of the street and its traditional trade.
