Abstract(s)
Num ambiente tecnológico cada vez mais evoluído, observa-se uma verdadeira competição entre as
organizações, cujo interesse passa por converter as oportunidades de negócio em projetos para que
possam crescer e alcançar os seus objetivos estratégicos. Para tal, as organizações estão a adotar a
Gestão de Projetos como estrutura organizacional capaz de dar respostas eficazes e consistentes. Se
para as organizações em geral o acesso a ferramentas tecnológicas é crucial em termos de crescimento
e até para a sua sobrevivência, há um tipo de organização onde a adoção de novas tecnologias é
obrigatória: as organizações de matriz tecnológica.
Para garantir o sucesso dos projetos nas organizações tecnológicas são vários os fatores que devem ser
tidos em consideração. Assim, torna-se necessário perceber quais os fatores que determinam o sucesso
dos projetos, de onde se destacam as Metodologias de Gestão de Projetos (MGP) por serem um dos
fatores mais passíveis de ser objeto de escolha na tomada de decisão pelo GrP e por ser também um
elemento que está presente em todas as fases do projeto, desde o planeamento até ao seu encerramento.
Reconhecendo a sua implicação tanto no desenrolar quanto no resultado do projeto, sentiu-se
necessidade de aprofundar o seu estudo.
Dado que existem diversas abordagens de MGP disponíveis, surge a necessidade de estudar “os fatores
que influenciam a escolha da MGP nas organizações tecnológicas”, sendo este o elemento que vai
conduzir à questão de investigação e à qual se procurou dar resposta. Para dar resposta à questão de
investigação foram recolhidas informações de GrP que desenvolvem a sua atividade profissional em
organizações tecnológicas de áreas de intervenção distintas. Estas informações foram recolhidas através
de entrevistas, que foram alvo de análise de conteúdo. Daqui resultaram cinco categorias, que após
análise responderam às proposições propostas no modelo de investigação.
Deste estudo resultou uma matriz com a qual se pretende apoiar o GrP na tomada de decisão da escolha
da MGP mais adequada em função do projeto a desenvolver. Nesta matriz são cruzadas as caraterísticas
das MGP com os fatores do projeto que influenciam a tomada de decisão do GrP, tornando-se percetível
a abordagem mais adequada, Waterfall ou Agile. Com a monitorização desta matriz, o GrP tem
informação disponível para avaliar se a MGP adotada responde às suas necessidades e identifica de
imediato onde deve fazer alterações na metodologia.
In an increasingly evolved technological environment, there is a real competition between organizations, whose interest is to convert business opportunities into projects so that they can grow and achieve their strategic objectives. To this end, organizations are adopting Project Management as an organizational structure capable of providing effective and consistent answers. If for organizations in general the access to technological tools is crucial in terms of growth and even for their survival, there is a type of organization where the adoption of new technologies is mandatory, for the technology matrix organizations. To ensure the success of projects in technological organizations there are several factors that must be considered. Thus, it is necessary to understand which factors determine the success of the projects, from which the Project Management Methodologies (MGP) stand out because they are one of the most likely factors to be the object of choice in decision-making by the Project Manager (GrP) and because it is also an element that is present in all phases of the project, from planning to its closure. Recognizing its implication both in the course and in the outcome of the project, it is necessary to deepen this study. Given that there are several approaches to MGP available, there is a need to study of "the factors that influence the choice of MGP in technological organizations", being this the element that will lead to the research issue and to which we sought to respond. To answer the research question, information was collected from seven GrP who develop their professional activity in technological organizations in different areas of intervention. This information was collected through interviews, which were the subject of content analysis. This resulted in five categories, which after analysis responded to the proposed propositions in the research model. This study resulted in a matrix with which the GrP intends to support in the decision-making of the most appropriate MGP depending on the project to be developed. In this matrix the characteristics of MGP are crossed with the design factors that influence the decision-making of the GrP, making it possible to approach the most appropriate, Waterfall or Agile. With the monitoring of this matrix, the GrP has information available to assess whether the adopted MGP meets your needs and immediately identifies where to make changes in the methodology.
