Neste trabalho, começa-se por traçar um panorama sobre o consumo de energia elétrica per capita em Portugal e no mundo. Para entender melhor como é que cada pessoa ou equipamento influencia esse consumo no nosso país, é feita uma análise sobre o consumo de energia elétrica numa habitação. Devido ao conhecimento que se tem da habitação e dos hábitos dos seus residentes, estima-se um provável perfil de consumo de cada equipamento nos vários meses do ano, calculando-se também o valor a pagar nas 3 diferentes tarifas praticadas por três fornecedores de eletricidade. Também são criados diferentes cenários de consumos, com a finalidade de avaliar qual a potência contratada que melhor serve as necessidades dessa mesma habitação. Foi desenvolvida uma ferramenta de apoio em Excel para o cálculo das diferentes estimativas e cenários de consumo.

Due to the housing knowledge and the habits of the residents, the consumption profile of each equipment is estimated month after month for one complete year. The cost for 3 different energy tariffs is calculated in three different electric energy suppliers. Also the best option for the contracted power is evaluated for the same dwelling. An Excel spreadsheet is used to support these calculations.
