Abstract(s)
desenvolvimento do voluntariado internacional.
The research into the different perspectives on what international volunteering in non-profit exchange programs might be like is still scarce. This investigation examines the experiences of several volunteers and host families who are registered on the following platforms: Workaway, Worldpackers, Helpx and WWOOF. The results show that this topic has become a trend in recent years and that understanding the motivations of the people who are part of these platforms, as well as the benefits and impacts of projects, is essential in order to better understand the development of international volunteering. In addition, it was essential to reflect on the concept of volunteering in these specific contexts. This research contributes to a greater understanding of the relationships and tensions between volunteers and host families during these platforms' programs.
