- Ship-to-line: otimização dos fornecimentos diretos às linhas de produçãoPublication . Correia, Daniela Sousa; Pereira, Maria Teresa RibeiroThis report describes the curricular internship for the conclusion of the master’s degree in Logistics to achieve the respective master’s degree. It took place in the Logistics Department of CaetanoBus – Fabricação de Carroçarias, SA, a company of the Salvador Caetano Group. CaetanoBus faces a management control problem when it comes to goods reception. Management has highlighted an area related to the reception of goods for which there was no control work: the direct supplies to line – both in terms of materials and in terms of services provided by second shift suppliers. The established objective was to monitor the components delivered directly by suppliers to the Production Line, in order to improve the process that was in place by the time the student joined the company. To this end, the AS IS – TO BE methodology was applied. Data will be collected through observation and processes mapping (BMPN) with stakeholders, informal interviews with operational and project managers and documentation analysis in order to map the process that was being carried out to achieve the desired improvement. This new process was initially defined to be applied to one of the three Production Lines – the Line where only Cobus is produced, since this one is the most stable of them. By the completion of the internship, it was possible to apply and standardize it to the other Lines.
