Silva, Daniela Alexandra Coelho; Pereira, Rui Humberto RibeiroWith the continuous evolution of content management systems (CMS), the organizations are forced to replace obsolete or end-of-life systems and upgrade to new ones. With this constant need to upgrade, it is necessary to migrate the content and data of these systems. This study addresses the topic of migration of CMS software and e-commerce platforms in a multinational company. To put the topic in context, the first approach made is the theoretical basis that introduces the topics, what are e-commerce platforms, what are content management systems and how they can support online sales. How data migration is performed and what are the different methods that can be adopted for a migration process. As a result of the study, the source systems and the new application are presented, as well as the technique used by the organization for its migration process and a description in temporal and technological terms. The limitations found in the study and the positive points are pointed out.
