- Avaliação e monitorização do processo de transporte entre centros de depósito numa empresa químicaPublication . Dias, Carlos Tiago Ribeiro; Oliveira, Lia Coelho deCurrently, and given the economic consequences caused by the war in Ukraine, and also by COVID- 19, markets are forced to adapt to the shortage of certain resources. This shortage of resources triggered a vertiginous growth in their cost, not forecasted by the markets, nor by society in general, after the economic instability generated by COVID-19. In this way, organizations feel the inevitable need to differentiate themselves from their competitors, to reduce or eliminate waste, in order to maintain their profit margins. By mapping processes, in addition to making them visible, it is possible to perform a detailed analysis of the procedures used to achieve something. From there, it becomes clear the importance of each process, the impact it has within the organization, and all the steps necessary to achieve its objective. In this case, a data collection was carried out that allowed an analysis of the process of transfer of raw material and finished product, between three deposit centers, of a chemical company that produces technological adhesives in Portugal, Colquímica Adhesives. It was thus possible to develop flowcharts that allowed the visualization of all the procedures carried out, from the reception of raw material to the expedition of the finished product, to identify all the participants involved, and to understand the importance that this process has in obtaining value for the organization. Once the process mapping was completed, a SWOT analysis was also carried out, where internal and external factors that impact the operation daily were analyzed. Finally, it was then possible to identify aspects that could be improved and to develop tools for this purpose. This project highlights the study developed and allowed a textual support, where the procedures and functions of the collaborators that intervene in the process are explained.
