- Caracterização das funções de gestão na Preh PortugalPublication . Costa, Manuel Paulo Reis da; Rodrigues, Ana Cláudia Moreira; Martins, Dora Cristina MoreiraThe competitiveness and market demands that companies face today require constant adaptation to thrive in a highly demanding and ever-changing environment. In this context, the Role Analysis and Description process and Key Competency Mapping are the cornerstone for a more strategic HRM system that will serve as an input to it`s various subsystems. Thus, this process of people management becomes essential to clarify and structure the existing functions of the Company and, on the other, to carry out an assessment of the necessary and existing skills in the employees in order to implement the operationalization of the strategic plan of business. This work develops an intervention project in the context of Job Description Analysis and Key Skills Mapping, to be implemented in Preh Portugal as the host entity for this project. The performance of this intervention project fell on the key functions at the Company, namely Senior Directors and Area Managers at Preh Portugal. The purpose has been to ensure that as of October 2019, all management functions have a DAF that includes key transversal competences. For the implementation of this project, we opted for Ceitil's Top Down strategy (2007), which consists of two strategic areas: (i) Analysis and Description of Functions and (ii) Key Competence Mapping. To achieve the proposed objectives, we resorted to the empirical and technical knowledge of Management and its Senior Directors, based on a theoretical review of the literature and a normative analysis. All phases of the process have been monitored and validated by HR Management, enabling the successful completion of the project purpose. At the end, the challenges and ideas for future development are presented.
