Abstract(s)
CML IA, IMPACT 2002+ e EN 15804.
In this work, has been developed a life cycle assessment of the production of 1 ton of artificial aggregate, resulting from the recovery, as a building material, of the residual fraction of the waste to energy process at LIPOR II, and compared with the production of crushed aggregate of natural origin. With this study, it is intended to reinforce the validation with CE marking of the artificial slag aggregate that is under development. The study focuses on regional use, tending to be in the associated municipalities of LIPOR, with the life cycle assessment oriented between the obtaining of urban waste, as raw material, and delivery in siteworks in the estimated locations in the indicated geographical area. The study was conducted in accordance with applicable standardization, including ISO 14040 series, and with the use of the OPENLCA calculation tool, using information provided by LIPOR II related to operations and secondary data from databases such as ECOINVENT. The impact categories considered were those present in the CML IA, IMPACT 2002+, and EN 15804 standard.
