Abstract(s)
Assim, a
do dia-a-dia.
The intensive care units (ICU), are the areas of the hospital that consume more money in public institutions. The roles of health professionals are essential, but the logistics and management are also very important and because of that must be evaluated. Therefore, all indicators - clinical, economic, financial, human resources, productivity, and quality - are important so that management may, dynamically and in time, have information useful for decision making. Thus, ensuring an efficient resource management is increasingly important to meet not only all the patients but also the hospital structure. Nowadays, with the socio-economic crisis we are experiencing, it is extremely important to know with as much detail as possible, what resources you can rely on. It is important to measure effectively and efficiently how they are used to meet with the highest quality possible a patient entering the ICU. For this purpose, the use of information systems and the right tools are of great importance. This thesis proposes a simple and easy to use tool developed using ROLAP technology for the extraction and analysis of indicators in ICU that can be easily integrated in some management software.
