Abstract(s)
The fast technological evolution of the last years and the constant search of companies to become more competitive, makes their managers' decisions more and more complex. With the massification of the use of computer resources, simulation, as a resource for the analysis of production and logistics systems, quickly gained potential. This dissertation was executed in a company that is engaged in the development and production of power electronics controllers and products related to electrification of automotive transport vehicles. This study was based on the production of the month of October 2022 as a control sample. The main objectives are to develop a simulation tool to analyze and improve a production line and then test several scenarios in order to decide the best strategy among those defined to increase production within the existing constraints. After the successful construction and validation of the tool, 3 different scenarios were tested, all of them presented significant improvements, however the one that stood out the most presents a production increase between 67% and 100% depending on the product, with a minimum of 89 controllers produced of the same type and a decrease in the mismatch of the occupancy rate of jobs from 94% to 43%.
