Ao longo dos anos, temos assistido a revoluções industriais, catapultadas pela evolução exponencial da inteligência humana, assim como ao aparecimento de inteligência artificial. Com a implementação da produção em massa, os processos de fabrico foram de tal forma aprimorados, que todos os processos adjacentes, sejam estes prévios ou posteriores, tiveram de acompanhar esta evolução. Com a massificação da produção, o processo logístico tem vindo a evoluir exponencialmente com soluções inteligentes e de elevada produtividade, sejam elas na alimentação das linhas de produção, ou nos finais de linha. A dissertação aqui apresentada foi desenvolvida na empresa Sidel Conveying Portugal S.A., uma ramificação do Grupo Sidel, que está entre os líderes mundiais no que respeita a fornecedores de linhas de produção chave-na-mão na indústria do enchimento de bebidas. Nas instalações do Grupo Sidel em Portugal, são fabricados transportadores de garrafas, latas, barris, packs, grades e paletes. Posteriormente, os transportadores farão a ligação entre máquinas ou pontos de interesse no chão de fábrica. A indústria do enchimento de bebidas é extremamente competitiva. A apresentação das melhores soluções, dos melhores equipamentos e de serviços de excelência, é crucial para manter a competitividade no sector. Dada a qualidade dos equipamentos e serviços apresentados pelo Grupo Sidel, a procura pelas suas soluções tem-se intensificado. Esta dissertação incidirá nos equipamentos que fazem parte da alimentação das linhas de produção, assim como dos fins-de-linha de produto acabado, os transportadores de paletes. É proposto como objetivo, a alteração dos materiais utilizados nas estruturas dos equipamentos, com redução de custos provenientes da melhoria do processo e fluxo de trabalho, embalagem e transporte, com o foco na redução de custos. Com isto, pretende-se reforçar a competitividade da empresa no mercado com soluções de alta qualidade, fiabilidade e preço competitivo. Por fim, é realizada uma análise dos resultados obtidos em função das ideias anteriormente apresentadas.
Nowadays, the industry can be seen as a machine that cannot stop. Over the years, we have witnessed various industrial revolutions, catapulted by the exponential evolution of human intelligence, as well as artificial intelligence. With implementation of mass production, the manufacturing processes were intensively improved, as well as their adjacent processes. With production massification, the logistic process has been evolving exponentially with intelligent solutions, both in feeding the manufacturing lines and in the end of line, where the finished product will be packed, wrapped, and stored. This dissertation was developed at Sidel Conveying Portugal S.A, a branch of the Sidel Group that is among the world's leading providers of complete filling lines for the beverage industry. At Sidel Portugal plant, conveyors for bottles, cans, kegs, packs, crates and pallets are manufactured. Subsequently, the conveyors will make connection between machines or points of interest in the customer plant. The beverage industry is intensively competitive. To present the best products and services of excellence are crucial for the sustenance of the competitiveness in the market. Once the quality of products and services presented by the Sidel Group are one of the most convincing in the market, the search for their solutions and services are continuously increasing. This dissertation will focus on the equipment that is part of the end-of-line, the pallet conveyors. It is proposed the improvement of materials, engineering, and manufacturing processes, as well as the packaging and transportation processes with focus in the reduction of costs. With this, it is intended to strengthen the presence of the company in the market with solutions of high quality, reliability and highly competitive.
