Abstract(s)
Embora Angola esteja a apresentar algum desenvolvimento económico, enfrenta ainda
desafios significativos na construção de capacidade e excelência do ensino superior. Esta
dissertação analisa os desafios enfrentados por instituições do ensino superior,
especificamente a Universidade Katyavala Bwila (UKB), quanto à ausência de sistemas de
informação que auxiliam o processo de gestão académica, com impacto final na qualidade
de ensino. Este trabalho analisa ainda o estado da arte das boas práticas em arquitecturas e
sistemas de informação em instituições do ensino superior Portuguesas e internacionais,
nomeadamente os projectos U-GOV, PortalUA, SIGARRA e MIT. Com base nas boas
práticas analisadas e especificidade do ensino superior em Angola, elabora-se uma
proposta de módulos e serviços para um sistema de informação para a UKB.
Despite the fact that Angola is evidencing economic development, it still faces significant challenges in the higher education sector. This dissertation analyzes the challenges faced by higher education institutions, specifically Katyavala Bwila University (UKB), regarding the absence of information systems to manage academic processes, which ultimately impacts the quality of the education and services provided to the students. This dissertation also analyses the best practices in what regards architectures and information systems in the Portuguese and international higher education institutions, namely the projects U-GOV, PortalUA, SIGARRA and MIT. Taking in consideration the specificity of the higher education system in Angola and the international best practices, this work contributes with a proposal of information system components and services for UKB.
