A incidência de doenças vasculares tem vindo a aumentar ao longo dos anos. Os pacientes com
este tipo de doenças requerem um acompanhamento profissional constante, como, por
exemplo, internamentos hospitalares e consultas regulares. Esta necessidade constante de
acompanhamento médico leva a que o dia a dia destes pacientes seja, em grande parte, em
hospitais ou outras instituições no âmbito de saúde.
Face a este transtorno, reconhece-se a necessidade de se proporcionar um estilo de vida melhor
aos pacientes com doenças vasculares, possibilitando, de alguma forma, suporte médico
remotamente.
Com a evolução das tecnologias de informação, surgiram tecnologias como sistemas
inteligentes que apoiam na tomada de decisão. Este conceito inovador permite que exista apoio
profissional a partir de uma plataforma digital. Estas plataformas digitais são denominadas por
plataformas de e-coaching e estão, cada vez mais, presentes no dia a dia quotidiano.
Atualmente, utilizando as plataformas de e-coaching já existentes, é possível ter profissionais
de inúmeras áreas a ensinar e aconselhar, a partir de um dispositivo com conexão à internet.
De forma a resolver o problema identificado, o presente trabalho propõe o desenvolvimento
de um sistema inteligente que forneça acompanhamento médico remotamente, através de
recomendações personalizadas baseadas em regras previamente estabelecidas pelo
profissional de saúde. Para além disso, propõem-se o desenvolvimento de uma aplicação web
para ser disponibilizada aos profissionais de saúde, de forma que estes possam definir as regras
utilizadas para gerar as recomendações disponibilizadas aos pacientes, assim como poderem
acompanhar o progresso dos seus pacientes.
Com o presente trabalho, foi possível desenvolver a solução proposta, permitindo fornecer
acompanhamento médico, de forma remota, a pacientes com doenças vasculares. Os
resultados obtidos refletem que a solução desenvolvida é atrativa para os profissionais de
saúde, uma vez que promove uma maior eficácia no seu trabalho, assim como para os pacientes,
uma vez que estes conseguem receber tratamento médico de forma remota adquirindo assim
uma maior independência quanto a idas a instalações médicas e, consequentemente, uma
melhor qualidade de vida.
The incidence of vascular diseases has been increasing over the years. Patients with this type of illness require constant professional follow-up, such as hospital admissions and regular consultations. This constant need for medical follow-up means that the day-to-day life of these patients is, for the most part, in hospitals or other health institutions. Faced with this problem, the need to provide a better lifestyle to patients with vascular diseases is recognized, enabling remote medical support. With the evolution of information technologies, technologies such as intelligent systems that support decision-making have emerged. This innovative concept allows for professional support from a digital platform. These digital platforms are called e-coaching platforms and are increasingly present in everyday life. Currently, using e-coaching platforms, it is possible to have professionals from numerous areas teaching and advising us, from a device with an internet connection. In order to solve the identified problem, the present work proposes the development of an intelligent system that provides medical follow-up remotely, through personalized recommendations based on rules previously established by the health professional. In addition, it is proposed the development of a web application to be made available to health professionals, so they can define the rules used to generate the recommendations made available to patients, as well as being able to monitor the evolution of their patients. With this work, it was possible to develop the proposed solution, allowing remote medical monitoring to be provided to patients with vascular diseases. The results obtained reflect that the developed solution is attractive for healthcare professionals, as it promotes greater efficiency in their work. It is also beneficial for patients as they can receive medical treatment remotely, gaining greater independence in terms of visits to medical facilities and, consequently, improving their quality of life.
