| dc.description.abstract | Temos assistido, nas últimas décadas, a uma evolução exponencial no futebol. Quer ao nível do “jogo jogado” (diferentes táticas, jogadores evoluídos tecnicamente), quer ao nível das tecnologias que auxiliam para um “jogo justo” (linha de golo, vídeo-árbitro), mas também ao nível financeiro (salários milionários, transferências de jogadores por montantes astronómicos). No que respeita à parte financeira, verificou-se que os estudos, até ao momento, sobre a realidade portuguesa, resumem-se essencialmente à análise das Sociedades Anónimas Desportivas de três clubes desportivos, vulgarmente conhecidos por, Benfica, Porto e Sporting. Face a esta constatação, o nosso estudo tem como principal objetivo verificar a solvência das Sociedades Anónimas Desportivas, que integram o futebol profissional em Portugal, de forma a ser possível ter uma visão extensiva da realidade portuguesa. De modo igual, pretende-se aferir a sua evolução ao longo de quatro épocas desportivas, bem como determinar a dimensão financeira de cada uma. Tendo em consideração os objetivos definidos, procedemos à elaboração de um estudo empírico com recurso a uma metodologia qualitativa, através de um estudo de caso múltiplo. O estudo de caso teve por base onze Sociedades Anónimas Desportivas, que participaram consecutivamente nas Ligas Profissionais de Futebol em Portugal, no período compreendido entre 2013/2014 e 2016/2017. A recolha dos dados financeiros, das Sociedades Anónimas Desportivas selecionadas, foi efetuada com recurso à base de dados SABI, e a técnica utilizada para avaliar a respetiva situação financeira foi a teoria dos rácios. Os resultados do estudo evidenciaram as dificuldades financeiras, pelas quais a maioria das Sociedades Anónimas Desportivas analisadas atravessam, verificando-se até, situações de falência técnica. Porém, destacamos a evolução positiva observada na solvabilidade das mesmas, entre os períodos inicial e final do estudo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | In recent decades, we have witnessed an exponential evolution in football. Whether at the level of "game play" (different tactics, technically evolved players), or at the level of "fair game" technologies (goal line, video referee), but also financially of players for astronomical amounts). Regarding the financial part, it has been verified that the studies so far on the Portuguese reality, are essentially summarized by the analysis of the Sports Limited Company of three sports clubs, commonly known as Benfica, Porto and Sporting. In view of this finding, our main objective is to verify the solvency of Sports Limited Company, which integrate professional football in Portugal, in order to be able to have an extensive view of the Portuguese reality. Likewise, it is intended to measure its evolution over four sports seasons, as well as to determine the financial dimension of each one. Taking into account the defined objectives, we carried out an empirical study using a qualitative methodology, through a multiple case study. The case study was based on eleven Sports Limited Company, which participated consecutively in Professional Football Leagues in Portugal, in the period between 2013/2014 and 2016/2017. The financial data of the selected Sports Limited Company were collected using the SABI database, and the technique used to evaluate their financial situation was the theory of ratios. The results of the study evidenced the financial difficulties, in which most of the analyzed Sports Limited Company go through, even verifying, situations of technical bankruptcy. However, we highlight the positive evolution observed in their solvency, between the initial and final periods of the study. | pt_PT |
