O projeto apresentado neste relatório foi desenvolvido no âmbito da Unidade Curricular de Dissertação/Projeto/Estágio Profissional, do Mestrado em Engenharia de Computação e Instrumentação Médica (MECIM), do Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), como requisito para a obtenção do grau de mestre em Engenharia de Computação e Instrumentação Médica. Este trabalho foi proposto pela própria autora deste documento, e tem como objetivo o desenvolvimento de um dispositivo eletrónico capaz de monitorizar o sono de infantes e de crianças, no que respeita à temperatura corporal e à interrupção do sono. Para os guardiões do indivíduo a monitorizar, por sua vez, foi desenvolvida uma aplicação Android que permite verificar o estado atual, assim como o histórico de eventos relacionados com os parâmetros previamente referidos. Esta, por fim, gera automaticamente alertas sonoros e com vibração, quando condições anormais ocorrem.
The project presented in this report was developed within the scope of the Dissertation/Project/Professional Internship Course, of the Master in Computer Engineering and Medical Instrumentation (MECIM), of the Higher Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP), as a requirement to obtain the Master's degree in Computer Engineering and Medical Instrumentation. This work was proposed by the author of this document and aims to develop an electronic device capable of monitoring the sleep of infants and children, regarding body temperature and sleep interruption. For the guardians of the individual to be monitored, in turn, an Android application was developed that allows checking the current status, as well as the history of events related to the previously mentioned parameters. This, finally, automatically generates audible and vibrating alerts when abnormal conditions occur.
