dc.description.abstractAs mudanças provocadas pela 4ª Revolução Industrial e pela Transformação Digital impactam diretamente no modo de vida atual, no mercado de trabalho e na forma como as organizações se moldam. Este artigo explora e antecipa o alcance e a profundidade dos impactos das tecnologias atuais e emergentes no trabalho atual e futuro dos assistentes administrativos e secretários executivos. No contexto da transformação global das profissões, recorrendo a uma metodologia exploratória, são apresentadas as atribuições atuais destes profissionais e é analisada a sua propensão para depreciação ou automação tecnológica, colocando-se em perspetiva os riscos da profissão. Os resultados mostram que a maior parte das atribuições destes profissionais têm potencial para serem depreciadas, absorvidas por outras carreiras e/ou substituídas por tecnologias. Avançam-se e discutem-se quais as novas competências, conhecimentos, habilidades e qualificações que serão crescentemente necessárias para o reposicionamento da carreira na forma de trabalho digital.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractChanges brought by the 4th Industrial Revolution and the Digital Transformation have impacted directly in the way we live, shape the organizations and change the way we work. This article explores and anticipates the scope and depth of the impacts that current and emerging technologies are imposing to the jobs of administrative and executive assistants. Under the scope of the worldwide digital transformation, using exploratory research, we present sets of tasks that currently are or will be deprecated and automated by technologies, impacting the role of these professionals. We conclude that the great majority of tasks performed will rapidly be deprecated, undertaken by other professionals or replaced by technologies. In this scenario, we discuss which new competencies, comprising new knowledge, skills and abilities, are increasingly required and point out strategies for repositioning the profession in the digital transformation era.pt_PT
