| dc.description.abstract | A presente dissertação foi desenvolvida no âmbito do Mestrado em Engenharia Mecânica, especialização em Gestão Industrial, num contexto empresarial, através de um estágio curricular na empresa Renault Cacia S.A., e tem como principal objetivo a eliminação do número de manipulações entre operações do processo produtivo. A identificação e eliminação do desperdício (muda), existente nas atividades de uma organização, permite a redução de custos e a melhoria do rendimento operacional. Daí a empresa sentir a necessidade de estudar ações para a eliminação do desperdício, como é o caso do excesso de manipulações existentes, em muito associado às características das embalagens utilizadas para o transporte de peças. Sendo assim, a melhoria do processo é realizada através do estudo e desenvolvimento de novas embalagens adequadas ao processo. Numa primeira fase, foi necessário compreender profundamente o funcionamento do processo produtivo, analisando todos os seus pormenores, para dessa forma melhor desenvolver as embalagens. Consequentemente, foram elaboradas diferentes propostas, possibilitando melhorar o processo produtivo e as metodologias de trabalho, através da eliminação do número de manipulações. As embalagens desenvolvidas neste trabalho permitem assim a redução do número de manipulações, em 30%, cumprindo o objetivo inicial traçado. Ainda associado a este estudo, encontram‐se os vários ganhos: redução do espaço necessário para armazenamento das embalagens em 8%, redução da quantidade total de embalagens em 22% e da sua diversidade em 50% e, ainda, a eliminação do uso de cestos para o transporte e acondicionamento de peças, um dos principais pontos fracos do processo atual. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The current project was developed as part of the Master in Mechanical Engineering, in the Industrial Management area, in an industrial context of an internship in Renault Cacia S.A., and the main objective is to eliminate the number of material handlings executed between operations of the productive process. The identification and elimination of waste (muda), present in the activities of an organization, allows the reduction of costs and the increase of productivity. This way the company feels the need to study actions to eliminate waste, as is the case of the excess of material handling, usually associated with the characteristics of the packages used to transport parts. Therefore, the improvement of the process is carried out through the study and development of new packaging solutions appropriated to the process. As a first step, it was necessary to have a deep understanding of the production process by analyzing all its details, in order to better develop the packaging solutions. Consequently, different proposals were made, making it possible to improve the productive process and the working methodologies, by eliminating the number of times that parts are handled. The developed packages allow the reduction of the number of material handlings in 30%, fulfilling the initial objective. Also associated with this study are other improvements: reduction of the area required for storage the packages by 8%, reduction of the total number of packages by 22% and their diversity by 50%, and removal of small baskets for the packaging and transportation of parts, one of the main weaknesses of the current process. | pt_PT |
