A economia circular é um modelo de desenvolvimento sustentável que visa reduzir o desperdício
e a poluição, mantendo os materiais em uso pelo maior tempo possível através da reutilização,
recuperação, reparação e reciclagem. A economia circular é importante para a sustentabilidade
do planeta e para o bem-estar das populações. No contexto industrial, a economia circular pode
ser aplicada por meio da escolha de estratégias que visam reduzir o desperdício e a poluição.
Considerando que no contexto das opções estratégias para alcançar economia circular numa
área industrial a tomada de decisão é multicritério, o uso de metodologias multicritério podem
ser utilizadas para suportar a escolha de estratégias mais sustentáveis. Essas metodologias
permitem avaliar diferentes alternativas face a critérios de carácter quer qualitativo quer
quantitativo, como o impacto ambiental, o custo e a eficácia, para selecionar a melhor opção.
Foi criado um modelo multicritério para avaliação de estratégias para economia circular usando
o método AHP e aplicado num contexto real industrial da indústria automóvel, na secção de
pintura. O processo real foi analisado, foram pesquisadas e analisadas com os decisores várias
alternativas de opções estratégias e seu impacto na empresa face a recursos disponíveis. Assim,
foram definidas as alternativas estratégicas, como a utilização de tintas à base de água que não
contêm solventes, robotização da seção o que impacta numa redução de recursos gastos e
respetivo desperdícios, utilização de energias alternativas no processo. Foram definidos os
critérios relevantes para a avaliação e seriação das alternativas definidas usando o método AHP.
Os resultados obtidos permitiram obter um ranking para as estratégias de economia circular a
aplicar à secção de pintura, ajudando a empresa na perceção do impacto das mesmas no alcance
de maior sustentabilidade. Foi realizada uma análise de sensibilidade dos resultados obtidos
pelo AHP que permite ver as amplitudes de variação para que as posições se alterem.
The circular economy is a sustainable development model that aims to reduce waste and pollution by keeping materials in use for as long as possible through reuse, recovery, repair, and recycling. The circular economy is important for the sustainability of the planet and the well-being of populations. In an industrial context, the circular economy can be applied through the choice of strategies that aim to reduce waste and pollution. Considering that decision-making for achieving a circular economy in an industrial area is multicriteria, support for decision-making can be provided by multicriteria methodologies to support the choice of more sustainable strategies. These methodologies allow for the evaluation of different alternatives based on qualitative and quantitative criteria, such as environmental impact, cost, and effectiveness, to select the best option. A multicriteria model was created to evaluate strategies for the circular economy using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The model was applied in a real industrial context in the automotive industry, specifically in the painting section. The actual process was analysed, and various alternative strategic options and their impact on the company were researched and analysed by decision-makers. As a result, strategic alternatives were defined, such as the use of water-based paints that do not contain solvents, robotization of the section to reduce resource consumption and waste, and the use of alternative energy sources in the process. Relevant criteria were defined for evaluating and ranking the defined alternatives. The results obtained allowed for ranking the circular economy strategies to be applied to the painting section, helping the company understand their impact on achieving greater sustainability. An analysis of sensitivity was performed on the results obtained by AHP, which allows us to see the range of variation for the positions to change.
