Abstract(s)
Atualmente, a existência de uma eficaz ferramenta de seleção e avaliação de fornecedores é muito importante, devido a um ambiente industrial com um nível altamente concorrencial e é um processo fundamental para que uma organização se possa manter competitiva, principalmente numa altura em que o mercado evolui muito rapidamente. Contudo, não existe um único método comprovado como sendo o melhor para todos os casos, já que existem diferentes necessidades para diferentes organizações e diferentes resultados. As novas práticas de avaliação de fornecedores constituem, também, uma oportunidade de se criarem relações entre fornecedores e clientes, tornando cada vez mais o fornecedor num parceiro de negócio, potenciando grandes melhorias em conjunto com o cliente. Foi com a consciência da importância desta relação que foi realizado este projeto, na tentativa de desenvolver e apresentar um método de avaliação que se adeque à realidade da empresa em estudo.
The existence of an effective supplier selection and evaluation tool is very important today due to a highly aggressive industrial environment and it is a fundamental process for an organization to remain competitive, especially at a time when markets are evolving very fast. However, there is not a proven method that is the best for all cases, as there are different needs for different organizations and different outcomes. New supplier evaluation practices are also an opportunity to build relationships between those and the customers, increasingly making the supplier a business partner, leveraging major improvements together with the customer. It was the awareness of the importance of this relationship that this project was carried out, in an attempt to develop and present an evaluation method that fits the reality of the company under study.
