Abstract(s)
La teoría de los polisistemas formulada por Even-Zohar (1978) sirve como marco teórico
del análisis comparativo de dos productos culturales: Física o Química (2008) y Sex Education
(2019). Ambos pueden entenderse como textos audiovisuales ubicados dentro del
polisistema literario español, ya que el primero nació dentro de la cultura española y el
segundo cumple la condición de trasvase cultural. Mediante el análisis comparativo, se ilustra
cuál es su posición concreta dentro del polisistema literario español y se ofrece una
perspectiva sobre las cuestiones de orientación e identidad sexual tratadas en ambos
productos. Se explica de esta manera también el papel que cumple la cultura y más
concretamente la literatura y los medios audiovisuales como agentes de normalización,
visibilización, concienciación y educación.
Even-Zohar polysystems theory serves as a theoretical framework for the comparative analysis of two cultural products: Física o Química (2008) and Sex Education (2019). Both can be considered audiovisual texts located within the Spanish literary polysystem with Física o Química emerging within the Spanish culture and Sex Education (2019) fulfilling the condition of cultural transfer. The comparative analysis illustrates their specific position within the Spanish literary polysystem and provides an overview of the issues of sexual orientation and identity dealt by both products. Thus, it also explains the role of culture and, more specifically, literature and audiovisual media as agents of normalisation, visibilisation, awareness-raising and education.
