Na indústria petroquímica, a monitorização de processo é da maior importância para assegurar o bom funcionamento dos equipamentos e dos processos. Com os dados fornecidos pela monitorização é possível implementar, sistemas capazes de controlar todos estes parâmetros e garantir o funcionamento de toda a estação. Todavia, é necessária a coordenação entre todos os sistemas da instalação, podendo estes estar dispersos por grandes áreas geográficas. De forma a permitir a monitorização remota, é necessária a implementação de sistemas de monitorização wireless. Entre os vários tipos de comunicação de longo alcance, destaca-se o LoRa (Long Range), uma tecnologia de modulação de rádio frequência que oferece comunicações com longo alcance, taxas de transmissão baixas, robustez e baixos consumos energéticos. A rede desenvolvida é constituída por nós, um gateway e o servidor. Nos nós é feita a interligação com o meio, sendo lidos parâmetros como a temperatura, humidade e luminosidade e enviados os dados recolhidos através do protocolo LoRaWAN. No servidor estes são primeiramente descodificados, para depois serem apresentados. A fazer a conexão entre a rede LoRaWAN e a Internet temos o gateway, responsável pelo encaminhamento das tramas recebidas dos nós. O sistema permite a inclusão de mais elementos na rede como sensores, nós e gateways.
In the petrochemical industry the process, monitoring is of major importance to ensure the proper functioning of all equipments and processes. With the data provided it is possible to implement systems capable of controlling all these parameters and guarantee the correct operation of the entire station. However, it is necessary to coordinate all the systems of the station, even if they are spread over a large geographic area. In order to allow remote monitoring it is necessary to implement wireless monitoring systems. Among the various types of long-range communication, WAN and LPWAN, the LoRa was used which is a type of radio frequency modulation that offers communications with low transmission rates, ruggedness, long range and low power consumption. The developed network consists of nodes, a gateway and a server. The nodes do the connection with the field reading parameters like temperature, humidity and luminosity. These data is sent through the LoRaWAN protocol. The server does the decoding first and then displays the data. To make the connection between the LoRaWAN network and the Internet we have the gateway, which is responsible for forwarding the received frames of the nodes. The system allows the inclusion of more elements in the network like sensors, nodes and gateways.
