Atualmente, os números do mundo do audiovisual em Portugal estão em crescimento, apresentando um aumento significativo na quantidade de empresas a apostar nesta área e de especialistas (EY)1. Contudo, as produtoras audiovisuais já se encontram bastante “ocupadas” nas suas atividades, tornando a subcontratação de pessoas uma ação secundária em que não é dada a devida atenção. O problema para as produtoras prende-se com a falta de tempo e de recursos para analisar as opções de contratação e para responder a pedidos de orçamentos. De forma a combater este problema, será criada uma plataforma web destinada a criar uma comunidade audiovisual e que sirva para a subcontratação de serviços audiovisuais, e será para dois tipos de utilizadores as produtoras e os freelancer/trabalhadores do mundo audiovisual. Aliado a esta plataforma será desenvolvido um sistema de recomendação que visa ajudar todos os utilizadores no processo da subcontratação, através da sugestão de perfis com base nos diversos fatores requeridos para os trabalhos em questão. O presente documento estuda o contexto das produtoras audiovisuais, assim como o enquadramento da subcontratação no meio, analisa diferentes técnicas de implementação de sistemas de recomendação e os problemas associados a cada uma delas, avaliando as abordagens e exemplos existentes. Foram ainda avaliadas diversas tecnologias para o posterior desenvolvimento da plataforma, de forma a obter os objetivos desejados, apresentando as respetivas vantagens e desvantagens associadas a cada uma dessas tecnologias.
Nowadays, the numbers of the audiovisual environment in Portugal are on the rise, with a significant increase in the number of companies in the area, in the personnel employed, business turnover, among others (EY). 2 However, there is a huge demand for workers who fit into the audiovisual world. And as audiovisual producers are already quite “busy” in their activities, subcontracting people becomes a secondary action and in which due attention is not given due to the lack of time for this process. The problem for producers is the lack of time and resources to analyse hiring options and respond to requests for quotes. To combat this problem, a web platform will be created for producers, freelancers, and professionals in the audiovisual world. Allied to this platform, a recommendation system will be developed to help all users in the subcontracting process, through the suggestion of profiles based on the various factors required for the jobs in question. This document studies the context of audiovisual producers, as well as the contexts of subcontracting within the medium, different techniques for implementing recommendation systems and the problems associated with each of them, evaluating the existing approaches and examples. Several technologies were also evaluated for the further development of the platform, in order to achieve the desired objectives, presenting the respective advantages and disadvantages associated with each of these technologies.
