Abstract(s)
O exponencial crescimento da procura de energia elétrica, o avanço tecnológico, ou a simples necessidade de oferta de uma melhor qualidade de vida às populações, são exemplos práticos para a imprescindibilidade das grandes utilities (ou das grandes indústrias) pretenderem garantir um fornecimento de energia elétrica “limpo” e contínuo. Deste modo, existem, no mercado, empresas especializadas na conceção, desenvolvimento e inovação dos equipamentos responsáveis pela distribuição e proteção de sistemas elétricos de energia: a Aparelhagem de Média Tensão (doravante representado por “aparelhagem”). A eminente procura deste tipo de equipamentos elevou exponencialmente o respetivo volume de negócios, criando assim uma grande diversidade de players que competem entre si para a criação de equipamentos fiáveis e economicamente atrativos. Relativamente a este tipo de equipamentos, existem disponíveis no mercado diversas soluções que conseguem dar resposta a diferentes tipos de aplicação, como é o caso dos disjuntores, interruptores, interruptores-seccionadores, seccionadores de terra, etc. A dissertação irá descriminar sucintamente cada tipo de aplicação, incidindo de uma forma mais pormenorizada nas celas de média tensão: equipamentos de utilização em espaços fechados, normalmente utilizados pelas entidades de distribuição de energia e por indústrias com necessidades de ligação à rede nacional de média tensão.
The electric energy demand exponential growth, technological advances, or the simple need to offer population a better quality of life, are examples of the indispensability, from big utilities (or big industries), to intend to guarantee a “Clean” and continuous electric energy supply. In this way, there are, available on market, design, development and innovation specialized companies, which are responsible for the distribution and protection of electrical energy systems: the Medium Voltage Switchgear (hereinafter represented by switchgear). The eminent demand for this type of equipment has exponentially increased its turnover, creating a huge diversity of players that compete with each other, for the creation of reliable and economically attractive equipment. Regarding this type of equipment itself, there are several available solutions on the market that can respond to different types of applications, such as circuit breakers, switches, switches-disconnectors, earthing switches, etc. The dissertation will briefly describe each type of application, detailing more on medium voltage cubicles: equipment for use, generally, in close spaces and normally used by energy distribution entities and by industries with medium voltage network connections needs.
