- Exploring the role of mirRNAs as potential biomarkers in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hiperactivity Disorder: A comprehensive review and In-Silico analysis targeting neurological genesPublication . Silva, Caique Borin Maia da; Barroso, Fátima; Santos, MarleneAutism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are neurodeveplomental disorders (NDDs) that inolve complex conditions influenced by genetic, environmental and epigenetic factors. The study of microRNAs (miRNAs) has been highlighted in the contex of NDDs due to their crucial role in genetic regulation and neurodevelopment. This work explores de relevance of miRNAs in the contexto of NDDs, since their deregulation has been increasingly associated with the pathogenesis of these conditions. The aim of this study was to review the scientific evidence on the relantionship between miRNAs in the contexto of ASD and ADHD, as potential diagnostic biomarkers, in addition, na in-silico analysis was carried out using tools such as miRNet, miRDB, TargetScanHuman ver. 8.0, miRmap, RNAfold and HNADOCK server, with the aim of identifying and analysing miRNAs associated with ASD and ADHD, focusing on specific target genes, such as ANK2, SCN2A and ASH1L, wich play crucial roles in the functioning and regulation of neurological processes. The results showed that these miRNAs have potential as biomarkers for a more accurate and earlier diagnosis of these conditions.
