- A repetitive exploration: embodied intersectionsPublication . Ribeiro, Ana Ester Pimenta Pereira; Moreira, Daniel Filipe Pinto; Lyster, Janne-CamillaThis project emerged from an interest in exploring how Dance can enter into dialogue with Theatre and Music through collaborative artistic practice. Developed within the framework of the Master's Degree in Performing Arts – Dance Specialisation, Choreographic Composition, it examines three duet performance processes created in collaboration with composer Catarina Sá Ribeiro and performers Sofia Portugal and Suevia Rojo, as well as a solo developed during my exchange period at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO) in collaboration with an undergraduate dance student. At the core of this research lies the concept of repetition, which I propose as a fundamental method and an integrative tool for developing transdisciplinary artistic processes. Influenced by the collaborative methodologies of artists such as Alma Söderberg, and the artistic partnerships of Sofia Dias and Vítor Roriz, Jonathan Burrows and Matteo Fargion, this project highlights the importance of relationships and nonhierarchical approaches within performative practices. Through an analysis of my artistic methodology, I seek to reveal the interconnections between sound and movement, voice and embodied practices, reflecting on the impact of these relationships both on my development as a performer and the collaborative processes undertaken. Ultimately, this project aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of choreomusicality and the collaborative dimensions of contemporary performance practice.
