O presente trabalho tem como objetivos principais mostrar como o cearense Alberto Nepomuceno (1864-1920) criou a canção de câmara brasileira e divulgar o conhecimento de sua vida e obra para outros lugares e outras culturas. Na primeira parte, depois de uma pequena introdução, exponho no primeiro capítulo uma visão geral da história de vida do compositor. No segundo capítulo, procuro esclarecer sobre a origem da canção artística no Brasil, suas influências e sobre a importância da relação poesia-música em sua formação. O terceiro capítulo aborda o papel de Nepomuceno na valorização da língua nacional no repertório erudito para canto e piano. Na segunda parte, apresento o repertório que faz parte do projeto aqui elaborado e onde constam as análises performativas das canções escolhidas, culminando em um recital artístico, no qual interpreto 13 de suas 46 canções em língua portuguesa.
This dissertation mainly aims to show how Alberto Nepomuceno (1864-1920) created the Brazilian chamber song and to share the knowledge about his life and work with other places and cultures. In the first part, after a short introduction, I present in the first chapter an overview of the composer's life story. In the second chapter, I clarify the origin of artistic music in Brazil, its influences and the importance of the poetry-music relationship in its formation. The third chapter talks about the role of Nepomuceno in adding value the national language in the classical repertoire for singing and piano. In the second part, I present the repertoire that is part of the project elaborated here and which contains the performative analyzes of the chosen songs, culminating in an artistic recital, in which I interpret 13 of its 46 songs in Portuguese.
