| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório tem como objetivo apresentar as atividades desenvolvidas e as competências adquiridas ao longo dos quatro meses de estágio na empresa SMARTIDIOM, realizado no âmbito do mestrado em Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas do ISCAP. Numa primeira parte, é apresentada a entidade de acolhimento e as tarefas desempenhadas, assim como as aprendizagens retiradas da realização do estágio. Na segunda parte, é analisada a problemática da autonomia na era da tradução automática e da inteligência artificial, sendo desenvolvidos os conceitos associados. Além disso, é apresentado o conceito de inteligência artificial centrada no ser humano (HCAI) e a sua relação com a autonomia do tradutor. De seguida, são enumeradas as vantagens e desvantagens da utilização de tradução automática e de inteligência artificial nesta era de rápido desenvolvimento tecnológico. | dc.description.abstract | This internship report aims to present the activities carried out and the competences acquired throughout the four months of internship at SMARTIDIOM, as part of the master’s programme in Specialized Translation and Interpretation at ISCAP. The first section presents the company and the tasks completed, as well as the lessons learned from the internship. The second part analyses the issue of autonomy in the age of machine translation and artificial intelligence, developing the associated concepts. In addition, the concept of human-centered artificial intelligence (HCAI) and its relationship with translator autonomy is presented. Next, the advantages and disadvantages of using machine translation and artificial intelligence in this era of rapid technological development are listed. Finally, the issue of autonomy and HCAI in the context of the internship is analysed. | eng |
