Abstract(s)
In this work, I study the development of electroacoustics and mixed music in Portugal. I put its emergence in the country into context from historical, social and political points of view. From a global perspective, this emergence is described in parallel with the analogous process throughout Europe. Lastly, I present an analysis of two contemporary works by Portuguese composers: K-U-L-T, by Luís Antunes Pena and Mosaic, by João Pedro Oliveira. This analysis is an example of the work I carried out in order to interpret the works I played in the recital that was associated with this thesis.
