Abstract(s)

A sample of 239 valid participants was collected between May and July 2019. ln order to meet the objectives of the study, statistical techniques, such as exploratory descriptive analysis were applied to identify the profile of the sample, the inferential analysis to validate the hypotheses and a factorial analysis. The main influencing factors when the Portuguese tourist chooses to stay in peer-to-peer accommodation are the price, the location, the welcoming, the facilities and the support conditions. lt was also identified a non-relation between the different motivations of traveling in Portugal and abroad and the sociodemographic characteristics with the adhesion to local accommodation in Portugal and abroad.
