Tendências na investigação em gestão de recursos humanos: uma análise bibliométrica entre 2016 e 2025

dc.description.abstractNum contexto global marcado pela volatilidade e constante mudança, as organizações enfrentam o desafio de se adaptarem a novas exigências em tempo real. Neste cenário, a Gestão de Recursos Humanos (GRH) assume um papel estratégico como eixo fundamental para a criação de valor e para a sustentabilidade organizacional. A literatura tem evidenciado uma crescente diversificação temática na investigação sobre a GRH. Face à expansão da produção científica, torna-se essencial compreender, de forma sistemática, como a investigação em GRH tem evoluído nos últimos anos. Assim sendo, este estudo analisa as principais tendências de investigação em GRH entre 2016 e junho de 2025, integrando os princípios da revisão sistemática da literatura e com recurso a técnicas de análise bibliométrica. A partir de uma amostra composta por 3485 artigos publicados em oito revistas científicas de referência indexadas na Web of Science, este estudo mapeia a evolução temática da produção científica recente. Os resultados revelam um crescimento expressivo da produção académica e uma diversificação das temáticas abordadas, com a consolidação de três grandes eixos temáticos: (i) práticas de GRH e GRH estratégica; (ii) satisfação no trabalho, desempenho e processos de exchange; e (iii) bem-estar e desenvolvimento da GRH. Análises de evolução temporal indicam a existência de um núcleo concetual estável, coexistindo com o declínio de tendências, com o resurgimento de tópicos e com a emergência de temas relacionados com a digitalização, sustentabilidade e saúde mental, demonstrando um campo dinâmico e responsivo às mudanças do contexto laboral contemporâneo. dc.description.abstractIn a global context marked by volatility and constant change, organizations face the challenge of adapting to new demands in real time. In this scenario, Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a strategic role as a fundamental axis for value creation and organizational sustainability. The literature has shown a growing thematic diversification in HRM research. Given the expansion of scientific production, it is essential to systematically understand how HRM research has evolved in recent years. Therefore, this study analyzes the main trends in HRM research between 2016 and June 2025, integrating the principles of systematic literature review and using bibliometric analysis techniques. Based on a sample of 3485 articles published in eight prominent scientific journals indexed in the Web of Science database, this study maps the thematic evolution of recent scientific production. The results reveal significant growth in academic production and a diversification of the topics addressed, with the consolidation of three major thematic axes: (i) HRM practices and strategic HRM; (ii) job satisfaction, performance, and exchange processes; and (iii) well-being and HRM development. Temporal evolution analyses indicate the existence of a stable conceptual core, coexisting with the decline of trends, the resurgence of topics and the emergence of themes related to digitalization, sustainability, and mental health, demonstrating a dynamic field that is responsive to changes in the contemporary work context. This study contributes to the theoretical consolidation of HRM, providing an integrated view of its evolution and guidelines for future research agendas.eng
