Abstract(s)
mestrado.
This document addresses the development of the work and creation of the digital scenography for the project "Ópera Real - Repetição do Fim do Mundo " as a final master's project. The Ópera Real project, a multidisciplinary project with partnership between ESMAE and ESMAD, tells the story of a family and their descendants, who are cursed by the devil, condemned to destruction whenever they step into a theater. Throughout 444 years and four different acts, each time this family enters a theater it causes its destruction and consequently its end. In the context of the play, this project aims to explore the potential of digital media to create a polymorphous environment that transforms throughout the progression of the story, with the use of video—mapping techniques to develop a digital scenic dimension, providing different scenarios for each act. Thus, a visual narrative was built to accompany the scenes and the actors, bringing the set to life and, above all, offering a dynamic and unique show. This dissertation presents the development processes of the work, such as the literature review on digital scenography and performing arts, the process of creating content for the play, the experiences with rehearsals and shows, and a conclusion and final reflection on the project.
