| dc.description.abstract | With the evolution of the world economy, developing and managing knowledge has become the basis for its creation. This evolution led to a new concept, the one of Intellectual Capital, also emerging a need to disclose it. Thus, the present dissertation provides an overview of the main studies on the Disclosure of Intellectual Capital through a Systematic Literature Review. The PRISMA guidelines were followed and the Journal Intellectual Capital was adopted to serve as basis to choose the articles related to Intellectual Capital Disclosure. The final sample waas comprised of 109 articles published in the Journal of Intellectual Capital. This dissertation aims to identify the main themes on Intellectual Capital Disclosure’s studies, as well as the methodologies, the suggested cues for further reserach and the adopted theories. It seeks to provide a theoretical contribution on Intellectual Capital Disclosure research and fill the literatures’ gap that exists on this subject. The Systematic Literature Review intends to provide a theoretical contribution to the literature in this area, by assesing the state of the art on Intellectual Capital Disclosure and its usefulness for the various stakeholders. Its main limitation is related with the use of only one scientific journal to conduct the Systematic Literature Review. Regarding some cues for future research, it would be interesting to analyse the impact of internal and external audits on Intellectual Capital disclosure, as well as on its influence on stakeholders and on the reliability of Intellectual Capital reports. This research should also be extendend to other journals indexed in the ISI Web of Knowledge and Scopus databases. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Com a evolução da economia mundial, passaram a estar na sua base, o desenvolvimento e gestão do conhecimento. Tal evolução deu origem a um novo conceito, o Capital Intelectual, onde surge também a necessidade de o divulgar. Neste sentido, a presente dissertação fornece uma visão geral dos principais estudos sobre a Divulgação do Capital Intelectual através de uma Revisão Sistemática da Literatura. Foram seguidas as linhas orientadoras do PRISMA, onde foram selecionados os artigos relacionados com a Divulgação do Capital Intelectual através do Journal Intellectual Capital. A amostra final foi de 109 artigos publicados pelo Journal of Intellectual Capital. A presente dissertação tem como objetivos identificar os principais temas nos estudos da Divulgação do Capital Intelectual, assim como as principais metodologias adotadas, futuras investigações propostas e ainda as teorias adotadas. Procura-se dar um contributo teórico para a investigação da Divulgação do Capital Intelectual e preencher a lacuna que existe na literatura sobre o tema. Com esta Revisão Sistemática da Literatura pretende-se fornecer um contributo teórico para a literatura nesta área, nomeadamente, a determinação do estado da arte no que respeita à Divulgação do Capital Intelectual e a sua utilidade para os gestores das organizações. A sua principal limitação está relacionada com a utilização de apenas uma revista científica para a realização da Revisão Sistemática da Literatura. Relativamente às pistas para investigação futura, seria interessante analisar o impacto de auditorias internas e externas aos relatórios de Capital Intelectual e qual a influência nos stakeholders, a fiabilidade dos relatórios de Capital Intelectual e, ainda, alargar a investigação a outras revistas indexadas nas bases de dados ISI Web of Knowledge e Scopus. | pt_PT |
