M.In this article, I wish to present a comparative analysis between the tale of “Branca de Neve”, from the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, and the movie Blancanieves (2012), from director Pablo Berger. To do so, I will resort to the analysis of diegetic elements (story, characters, time and space) and extradiegetic elements (style, genre, theme and message) taking into account the inherent specificities of the literary and the cinematographic media, the connections established between both of them, and the similarities and dissimilarities in the context of intersemiotic transposition.
