O olhar do diretor escolar sobre sua função

Abstract

Considerando o trabalho do diretor escolar um instrumento importantíssimo na eficácia do processo educacional, esse estudo tem como objetivo conhecer a visão do diretor escolar sobre a sua função. Entender os significados que esses profissionais construíram relacionados as suas competências e atribuições, através da experiência da gestão, conhecendo-se assim o olhar do sujeito sobre sua realidade. Para cumprir esse objetivo utilizamos um estudo qualitativo, sendo a entrevista semiestruturada a fonte de recolha de dados e a análise do discurso como técnica de tratamento de dados. As entrevistas foram realizadas com seis diretores de escolas municipais da cidade de Santana do Araguaia-PA, Brasil. Através das informações obtidas constatamos que esse profissional possui uma visão de sua função baseada em concepções e conceitos de um passado tradicionalista, mas no seu cotidiano exerce uma gestão que mistura vários estilos e concepções e vislumbram uma educação com condições apropriadas para desenvolvimento adequado da sociedade.

Considering the work of the school principal an instrument vital to the effectiveness of the educational process, this study aims to know the vision of the school principal about its function. To understand the meanings that these professionals have built relating their powers and duties, through the experience of the management, knowing well the look of the subject about your reality. To meet this goal, we used a qualitative study, being the semi-structured interview the source of data collection and analysis of the speech as a technique for data processing. The interviews were conducted with six directors of schools of the city of Santana do Araguaia-PA Through the information obtidadas noted that this professional has a vision of its function based on ideas and concepts of a past campaigns, but in their daily exercise a management that mix various styles and designs and see an education with appropriate conditions for adequate development of society.
