Throughout life, low chronic inflammation accumulates, causing detrimental effects that accelerates aging. To identify where is this inflammation begins, this review focused on inflammation befor birth, searching for a relation between inflammation deviation during pregnancy and the development od chronic diseases. The search was conducted in April 2024 in PubMed, Embase and Web of Science databases, using similar queries. All the data was handled in Microsoft Excell and PRISMA guidelines were implemented. A total of 20 articles were included for analyze, mostly experimental stidies. The most emphasized biomarkers were IL-6, IL.1β e TNF-α, nd the most referenced were associated with brain and pulmonar fetal development, in relation to preterm birth. There is a clear influence of cytokines unbalance in the health of the fetus and future chronic diseases development.
