Em primeiro lugar, quisemos refletir sobre qual a função que atualmente o pianista correpetidor ocupa e qual a importância que hoje lhe é atribuída ao nível dos conservatórios nacionais e do ensino de canto aí praticado. A partir desta reflexão procuramos tirar algumas conclusões relativamente à significância que tem hoje o pianista correpetidor e a Correpetição na formação dos alunos destes conservatórios e, em face das conclusões alcançadas, procuramos compreender se a figura do pianista correpetidor deverá, ou não, ser fortalecida nos planos curriculares dos conservatórios a fim de otimizar a sua ação na formação dos alunos de canto.This paper is written in the context of the Master in Music Teaching ESMAE/ESSE and essentially intends to bring some discussion around an issue that we have looked into in this report/investigation concerning the contribution and role of the repetiteur on high school music students formation in portuguese conservatories. First of all, we wanted to think over what is the function that the repetiteur occupies currently and how much importance it is given to them today in the national conservatories and in the singing teaching practiced there.
