Durante cinco meses, foi possível aplicar conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo do mestrado, aprofundar competências em tradução e terminologia, bem como desenvolver novas capacidades no contexto institucional europeu. O relatório apresenta o enquadramento da instituição, a organização interna, os tipos de documentos traduzidos, a utilização de terminologia e a participação no projeto Speech-to-Text. Reflete, ainda, sobre as aprendizagens obtidas e o impacto desta experiência na formação académica, no desenvolvimento profissional e pessoal. Esta experiência permitiu compreender o papel multifacetado do tradutor nas instituições europeias, a importância do rigor terminológico, a aplicação de tecnologias emergentes e a interação com ambientes multiculturais, contribuindo para o crescimento pessoal e profissional.This report describes and reflects on the Schuman Traineeship carried out at the Portuguese Translation Unit of the European Parliament, in Luxembourg, between March and July 2025, within the scope of the Master’s degree in Specialized Translation and Interpreting (MTIE) at ISCAP – P.PORTO. Over the course of five months, it was possible to apply the knowledge acquired throughout the master’s program, deepen skills in translation and terminology, and develop new abilities within the European institutional context. The report presents the institutional framework, internal organization, types of documents translated, the use of terminology, and participation in the Speech-to-Text project. It also reflects on the learning outcomes and the impact of this experience on academic training, as well as on professional and personal development.
