Nesse sentido, procura-se evidenciar a relevância do papel das mulheres na defesa, conservação/salvaguarda, transmissão intergeracional e divulgação do PCI, em seis freguesias do concelho. Assim, a par da análise documental, optou-se, no que diz respeito a técnicas de recolha de dados, pela entrevista e a observação-participante em eventos locais. Os objetivos principais são aprofundar o conhecimento sobre o Património Imaterial da região e a influência do género feminino; salvaguardar testemunhos e memórias a ele associadas, promovendo a visibilidade e o reconhecimento público deste património, entendido como fator de identidade local/regional; compreender que iniciativas e apoios tem desenvolvido o município no âmbito da salvaguarda do seu património cultural imaterial.This dissertation aims to investigate the influence of women on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova, an inland region of Portugal that faces challenges related to population decline, demographic aging, and a weakened economy, where cultural traditions play a fundamental role in preserving local identity. Being so, the study seeks to highlight the relevance of women's role in the protection, safeguarding, intergenerational transmission, and dissemination of Intangible Heritage across six parishes of the municipality. Accordingly, in addition to document analysis, data collection techniques included interviews and participant observation at local events.
