O estudo investiga de que maneira a imigração chinesa, facilitada por esse programa, influencia o mercado imobiliário e a economia portuguesa, ao mesmo tempo em que analisa os desafios sociais, como a especulação imobiliária e a exclusão social. Adicionalmente, a pesquisa destaca a relevância das celebrações chinesas, como o Ano Novo Chinês e o Festival das Lanternas, como instrumentos para fomentar o entendimento intercultural. A educação e a aprendizagem da língua portuguesa são também discutidas como elementos cruciais para a integração. A dissertação realiza uma análise crítica do equilíbrio entre os benefícios econômicos proporcionados pelos Vistos Gold e os desafios à coesão social, sugerindo uma abordagem mais inclusiva para otimizar os benefícios culturais e econômicos da imigração chinesa.The present dissertation examines the cultural and economic assimilation of Chinese immigrants in Portugal, with an emphasis on cultural, educational, and investment aspects, particularly through the Golden Visa initiative. The research evaluates the influence of Chinese immigration, enabled by this program, on the Portuguese real estate sector and overall economy, while also addressing social issues such as real estate speculation and social exclusion. Furthermore, the study highlights the significance of Chinese cultural celebrations, including the Chinese New Year and the Lantern Festival, as mechanisms for fostering intercultural dialogue. The role of education and the acquisition of the Portuguese language are also considered essential components of the integration process.
