In more recent years, a new concept of the utilization of the oceans has emerged, namely the Blue Economy (BE) which is a concept that focuses on economic activities that depend on the sea, including tourism, maritime transport, energy, and fishing. This concept aims to promote, economic growth, social inclusion and to improve life without compromising the ocean’s environmental sustainability. The scope of this study is on the utilization of living marine resources with the purpose of understanding the performance of the EU member states. In order to achieve this, a quantitative cluster analysis was conducted, and later a cluster categorization focuses on the Iberian Peninsula countries. The results obtained show how different countries implement their BE policies and contribute to its development, revealing their strengths and improvement areas.engBlue Economy (BE)Cluster analysisMarine Living ResourcesHow to measure the impact of Blue Economy activities in coastal zones?master thesis204126258
